The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of marine animals, including dolphins, North American river otters, and several species of sea turtles. While many of the injured and sick animals are later released, some become permanent residents due to the extent of their injuries. It is just off the Memorial Causeway, on Clearwater Beach Island.
